about the show

I am Taylor Warren and I am graduating in May with a degree in Community Education and a minor in Fine Arts.  I find joy in exploring/experimenting with print techniques, and I have completed my senior show by using a combination of printmaking and digital methods to depict the people I care about.

One thing I have always appreciated about the process of creating art is deciding how you want your audience to feel. Although I appreciate art that can make one feel uncomfortable- or even upset, I wanted this body of work to make my audience feel as happy and accepted as the people I'm depicting make me feel. The idea of my work having the ability to make someone feel anything, but especially warm or cheerful, makes all of my efforts feel a bit more worthwhile.

These people are the reason I am who I am and the reason I do what I do. Because of this I have attempted to combine what I love with who I love- all in a world of color.
